There is a time for everything. A time to sow and a time to reap. A time to stay and a time to leave.

I was still waiting out the storm in the wooden house. I had looked at the sunset from the verandah, and I had looked at the night sky from my mosquito net:

I was going to leave tomorrow, come what may.

Funny you would reference Ecclesiastes. I myself thought about “everything having a season” today because tomorrow I will be attending both a funeral and a summer party. Sometimes we wish there would be a bit more time for transition, but that’s just part of the human experience, I guess.

Won’t a pair of woven sports shoes work for you in summer?
