others too
Many people I see ask me why I don’t take a bus or at least ride a bicycle.
But there are others walking through the white as well:
These two guys are wandering musicians from the province of Shandong 山东. They are walking north, while I’m headed south, and neither of us is going to be at home for the spring festival.
Obviously, this doesn’t affect me that much, but I think for Chinese people it must be hard to be separated from their loved ones around this time of the year.
Well, wish them good luck and a happy new year.
…
As you can see on the map, I am really close to the weird thing now. I would ask people on the way:
They tell me there’s a mountain south of here, so that must be it – but I can’t see it just yet.
I’m excited!

it might be interesting if you get a chinace to visit some of the local spring fests.. they might have some treditional stuff that we'll never see in the cities. back in my homeland, the first 15days after chinese new year, everyday suppose to have some kinda treditional rituals or rules. it might be totally different in shangxi ! and maybe you might get to pop some 二锅头 for free too.
BOWER
Also gib mal ein bischen Hackengas !!!
Becci
Becci

I saw a report on the news this evening that reported that China is having one of the most severe snow storms in years. Are you right in the middle of that. It has been a really bad winter here also. Lot's of snow. Keep warm!!!!
Corinna
Robert
LG, Robert

Joerg: Ist gleich am 2. Tag verlorengegangen Alter!
froggyfrog: Guess it is. Even in the South it's snowing.
兔子不吃窝边草 take TWO!! in NY: I'll be in 运城, dude. Not really countryside, but should be interesting!
Becci: Schacka, und denk dran, Schacka!
Marvin: It's cool where I am, people are a bit more used to the cold than in the South – they don't even have any radiators down there!
Corinna: Ist kalt, aber geht noch.
David lee: Thanks dude.
froggyfrog again: No network up on that mountain, but still hanging in there!
—I'll post more tomorrow.—
