Lieber Christoph,
da ich erst relativ spät, durch die FR, von deinem Fußmarsch erfuhr und seit längerer Zeit täglich deine Einträge studiere, hat es mich nun an den Anfang deiner Reise getrieben, um von von dort aus deine Erlebnisse nachzuverfolgen. Und natürlich die vielen interessanten Fotos, die die gemacht hast, anzuschauen. Hut ab vor deinem Mut, deiner Ausdauer und deiner Leistung, zu der ja auch dein Tagebuch hier gehört, das ich mit vielen vielen anderen weltweit genießen darf.
Ich wünsche dir weiterhin alles alles Gute. Und dazu passen natürlich die Worte des bekannten irischen Reisesegens:
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you

Dear Chris – I work in a cubicle next to Wanda at Via Christi, so I have heard about your adventures since you were here in high school. I've followed this trip since your first day. We're so used to perfect endings that its hard to remember that this is a work in progress with no guarantees – not that you're now sitting at home remembering it through a rosy glow. I worry about you in a grandmotherly way – you should have good hiking shoes and thicker socks, why aren't you carrying a canteen of water? But mostly I think about you every day and look forward to your posts. I'm sure it must get lonely out there, so I hope its helpful to know that you have many friends who are with you in spirit and wishing you well.

obwohl ich dich ja eigentlich nicht wirklich kenne, hab ich, immer wenn ich auf diese seite schaue, das gefühl nachzusehen wie es einem freund geht. wen du getroffen hast, wie du voran kommst, einfach was du erlebt hast.
halt dir immer dein ziel vor augen bei deinen lieben in bad nenndorf anzukommen!
es gibt soviele leute die an dich denken!

n'abend Christoph. Komme gerade von einer kleinen Reise nach Friesland zurück. Es gibt dort ein Dorf, dass Mensingeweer heißt. Ein Fotograf, den ich kenne, auch ein Mensing, aber kein Verwandter, dachte, es wäre witzig, da mal hinzufahren. War es auch. Sehr witzig sogar. Hatte einen schönen Tag, trinke jetzt noch einenWhisky und bin dann weg. Gute Nacht.

It sounds pretty funny about your potential encounter with the leopards a few days ago, but indeed it was not. Dude, try your best to get your best prepared for everything! Don't think it will be safe coz there are no snakes, wolves, bears or whatever. The northwestern part of China is definitely not that safe. Wish you the VERY VERY BEST in your journey.
