This is a post about my blistered feet in Baoding. Zhu Hui and I are resting in a hotel room, having KFC and watching Star Wars.
We stayed in today, in a green hotel room on Middle Sky Goose Road.
The lens is already in Beijing waiting to get fixed. So this is good. My feet are enjoying the time they’re spending outside of the boots. Also good.
I was wondering if I should even show you this, but then I thought maybe you’d want to see one of the darker sides of walking:
Yep. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Maybe my boots are too narrow. Or they’re too short. Or maybe the inlays I’m using are using up too much space. I have no idea. All I know is that it hurts.
And there’s more:
I guess I better stay here for a few days. And to be honest I haven’t quite figured out what I’m going to do with all this time I got on my hands now. How do you spend a rest day on a walk back from China? Maybe I should just get used to sitting on my ass or something.
Zhu Hui and I even resorted to getting Kentucky Fried Chicken and watching Star Wars today. It’s nice to have him around. But then he’s planning to take off soon.
Maybe I can try to take a walk around Baoding on my blistered feet and take some photographs.
I need a plan.
