I got up at eight and went straight to work on something that had been important to me for a long time: the English editions of my books. I had been published in German, in Simplified Chinese, in Russian, and in Traditional Chinese:
But was there a goddamned English edition of one of my books?
Nope.
So I figured I’d try to make an English-language portfolio that I could send out to people. To publishers. To agents. To anyone:
I put a short introduction to myself in there:
And an overview of my most successful book The Longest Way:
I added some sample chapters that I had translated myself. Now all that was left was to wait for some feedback from my German agent.
And then I needed to find out who to send the whole thing to.
