more work

I still hadn’t finished correcting the Chinese manuscript of my book “Neuschweinstein”, and the deadline was getting closer.

So while she was outside doing all kinds of fun stuff, I sat on my bed and stared at my computer screen all day:

This was work that I wasn’t going to get paid for. In fact, no one had even asked me to do it. But I figured that it was worth the effort anyway, because this was a way that I could make sure Taiwanese and Chinese readers were getting the best possible version of my book.

So I worked all day, and then I was going to drink a rum. Only I didn’t drink a rum, because I couldn’t find any.

When she eventually came back, we went outside and had dinner:

It was already very late.

But at least I was finally done with the manuscript.
