Right before the last time I started walking in China in July last year, I had taken a timelapse video, meaning a series of 400+ individual pictures. These pictures needed to be aligned, otherwise the resulting video would appear jumpy. Of course there were software routines that could take care of this, but they turned out to be unable to deal with the motion of the camera.

So I had to align those photographs by hand. All four hundred of them:

It was horrible.

One time I got up and had an egg sandwich:

Then I sat down in front of the screen again.
