The Longest Stop

Hello everyone!

bald head

I am more than happy to present to you the absolute final version of the TLW-video:

This one is going to be my last post for now, and it’s my way of saying THANKS to all of you.

I hope you liked it.

So what’s the plan? Well, the bearded Chris is gone for now, and the old/new Chris has gone back to university, trying to get a degree within the next few years.

Doesn’t feel too bad.

BTW, I just checked the overall site statistics:

  • more than 400.000 clicks
  • 36.000 individual site visitors
  • 120 different countries
  • over 4.000 comments

THANK YOU!

Christoph

PS: If you run into the desert, please say hi to it for me!

    Wirst Du irgendwo weiterbloggen?

    Dear Christoph,

thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences throughout these months. I enjoyed reading your blogs and seeing the pictures so much! They were in a particular way so creative and at the same time somehow 'alternative'. I cannot really express the feelings and thoughts they brought up. I especially liked the movie at the end, it is very impressive…the scenes with Robozwerg or at the airport…I liked those a lot!

Although one will never understand many things you came across during your Longest Way (unless one goes and says hi to the desert, I guess ;-)), you gave so many of us readers the possibility to experience more than just reading or hearing something about China in one or the other media. Your way of writing showed personality, intimacy, heartiness, kindness but also thoughts and through that, you brought so much more than just a travel experience across.

I wish you good luck and all the best with studying, say hi to Becci and Robozwerg.

Greetz from Tilburg (NL)/ Bad Nenndorf,

    Jan S.

    Lieber Christoph,

I can only imagine. You did something that most people in this life time can only dream about. Me and my best friend have always wanted to tour Asia. Seeing your quest just strenghtens our resolve but after i finish college in 2 years. lol

You've grown as a man during your journey i bet, and a wicked long beard to boot ;).

    Alles Gute
    Marc

Hi Christoph. I saw your video on a french website. Amazing, wonderful, beautiful: there are just too many words to describe what you did. you transformed a dream in something real. A lot of people think they are able to do something in their lives but do nothing at all. This is your masterpiece. Maybe you'll do bigger in the future buy you've already something to tell.
I hope i could do something like that a day. If I succeed I'll think about you, for sure.

    Thanks and congrats'!

This probably is a minor desert compared to the ones you would like to see but this is a "HI!" from White Sands in Alamogordo, New Mexico. We do have some beautiful deserts a;; across our state, if you ever get a chance we would be honored if you trekked across our land! Good luck in your future endeavors.

Just finished reading all of your posts. Magnificent perseverance you proved walking all that way, constantly writing and publishing these posts (like your style), taking awesome photographs (better each thousand kilometers!). Thanks for that, such things show me that lot of things can be done differently – and not necessary the ordinary, easy way. I did really enjoy reading this and I wish you all the luck in everything that you would like to achieve in future. Thanks again.
