I saw A LOT of sheep today. They are everywhere around here – right when I walked out the door, a flock:

sheep in Shanxi

And this is the last photo I have from today, because I have lost all the others.

I saw some sheep that looked funny. But I can’t show them to you.

I went and visited the Chang Family Mansion 常家庄园, the private estate of a wealthy merchant clan from a couple of centuries ago. But I can’t show it to you.

I saw shrines and private gardens. But I can’t show them to you.

I found an old temple that had been almost completely destroyed in the Cultural Revolution and was now being used as a warehouse. But I can’t show it to you.

I saw kids and more sheep and a person glued to a TV screen, and I took pictures of all of them. But I can’t show them to you.

Because the photos are all gone.

Now I am in a hotel room with attached bathroom and I have just washed all my dirty socks again.

I believe they won’t dry until tomorrow.

Hi there, I saw your fantastic time lapse video and thought I would come and check out your blog. I have been working my way through it. What an amazing trip!

I really like your take on sheep. They do look irritatingly happy 🙂
